Dermal fillers, specifically JUVÉDERM®, are injections that temporarily restore volume loss in certain areas of the face, including most commonly the cheeks, lips, and lower facial wrinkles. They are made from Hyaluronic Acid (HA), which is a sugar naturally produced by the body that retains moisture in the skin. The main ingredient in JUVÉDERM® fillers is a modified form of HA. The results of filler injections are seen immediately, and can last anywhere from 6-12 months, depending on the area of the face.
